July 18 to August 16
By Ron Hill
The funeral committee of Harmony Church is planning the funeral dinner for Clarence Bowers, a man they despised and are sure everyone else in town hated as well. The fact that not one of the ladies really knew old man Bowers ever enters into the equation. In the process of planning for a small gathering, they begin to drink "coffee" made by Russell, the church's janitor, who is a worthless drunk and is following in the reeling footsteps of his alcoholic family. All of the women talk more than they should, and begin making confessions that wouldn't have been made without the help of Russell's special blend of coffee and the kahlua he has dumped in the pot.

HARVEY
By Mary Chase
When Elwood P. Dowd starts to introduce his imaginary friend, Harvey, a six-and-a-half-foot rabbit, to guests at a society party, his sister, Veta, has seen as much of his eccentric behavior as she can tolerate. She decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to spare her daughter, Myrtle Mae, and their family from future embarrassment. Problems arise, however, when Veta herself is mistakenly assumed to be on the verge of lunacy when she explains to doctors that years of living with Elwood's hallucination have caused her to see Harvey also! The doctors commit Veta instead of Elwood, but when the truth comes out, the search is on for Elwood and his invisible companion. When he shows up at the sanitarium looking for his lost friend Harvey, it seems that the mild-mannered Elwood's delusion has had a strange influence on more than one of the doctors. Only at the end does Veta realize that maybe Harvey isn't so bad after all.

MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS
By Ron Hutchinson
1939 Hollywood is abuzz. Legendary producer David O. Selznick has shut down production of his new epic, Gone with the Wind, a film adaptation of Margaret Mitchell's novel. The screenplay, you see, just doesn't work. So what's an all-powerful movie mogul to do? While fending off the film's stars, gossip columnists and his own father-in-law, Selznick sends a car for famed screenwriter Ben Hecht and pulls formidable director Victor Fleming from the set of The Wizard of Oz. Summoning both to his office, he locks the doors, closes the shades, and on a diet of bananas and peanuts, the three men labor over five days to fashion a screenplay that will become the blueprint for one of the most successful and beloved films of all time.
November 28 to December 20 (including a Special 2pm Sunday Matinee on Sunday, December 7)
THE NUTCRACKER'S NUTS
The Holiday Comedy by Dennis Wickline
Please note: Have you seen THE NUTCRACKER'S NUTS already? See our SIX-SHOW SEASON TICKET offers below!
THE NUTCRACKER'S NUTS takes place in the Northern Lower Peninsula. Simon's Rest is a retirement community in Frankfort, Michigan. Every Christmas the residents perform their traditional, boring, and harder and harder to produce version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Every Christmas, that is, except this one. Minnie Winchester, an elderly piano teacher, suggests that the residents do something new, something like THE NUTCRACKER. Everyone agrees that it would be wonderful to try something new and THE NUTCRACKER is accepted immediately. Tickets are quickly sold out. Just as rehearsals begin, however, the retirees discover one important and overlooked detail, THE NUTCRACKER is a ballet, and Minnie Winchester, a rather rotund lady who always wanted to play Clara, the lead, doesn't know how to dance.
Special Holiday Group Rates for THE NUTCRACKER'S NUTS: Group of 13 or more-$3.00 off or $13 each, Group of 21 or more-$5.00 off or $11 each*

ART OF MURDER
By Joe DiPietro
In a remote estate in the countryside of Connecticut, Jack Brooks, one of the most accomplished and eccentric painters of his generation, awaits the imminent arrival of his art dealer. But the visit is not a standard one, for Jack feels wronged, and he is intending to kill the man. As Jack lays out his intentions for the evening, his wife, Annie, calmly paints. She is reluctant to go along with the plan, until Jack's threat of violence convinces her otherwise. Harried and annoyed, Vincent, Jack's flamboyant art dealer, arrives. Will Jack carry out his plan? Will Annie help him? Or is something else going on?
February 20 to March 21
MIXED EMOTIONS
By Richard Baer
Herman Lewis (a Jewish carpet dealer) and Christine Millman (an interior decorator and lapsed Catholic) have been friends for more than thirty years. When their respective mates were alive, the two couples saw each other constantly and often traveled together. As the play opens, Christine is preparing to move-tomorrow-from her apartment in New York City to Florida, where she will share an apartment with another widow. From out of the blue, Herman appears to request that she stay in the city and marry him. Christine thinks the idea is ridiculous, but Herman persists and tries to change her mind over the ensuing eighteen hours. The play's other characters are Ralph and Chuck, moving men who empty Christine's home while Herman doggedly pursues his courtship.
April 3 to May 9 (No Performances Easter Weekend)
DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE
DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE is the classic tale that concerns the way in which an individual is made up of contrary emotions and desires: some good and some evil. Through the curiosity of Utterson, a lawyer, we learn of the ugly and violent Mr. Hyde and his odd connection to the respectable Dr Jekyll who seems to condone Hyde's despicable behavior. A brutal murder follows. The dead man is one of Utterson's clients, Sir Danvers Carew. The murder weapon was, unbelievably a cane Utterson had given to Jekyll. As such, the lawyer becomes entangled in the strange world of the physician Jekyll who it seems has created a drug that separates his good and evil natures - purifying the doctor himself but with the ghastly side effect of periods spent as the monstrous Hyde.
