and Select Sundays at 2pm
October 25 through November 23

The 20th Season of Broadway Onstage Live Theatre and the 33rd, and final, season of Dennis Wickline Productions continues on Friday, October 25 with the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle mystery THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES, one of Sherlock Holmes' most famous cases. The production will run Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Select Sundays at 2pm through Saturday, November 23.

Select Sunday Matinees are only performed at Broadway Onstage when a prearranged group of 30 or more is scheduled to attend. Broadway Onstage Live Theatre is located at 21517 Kelly Rd. at Toepfer (8 ˝ Mile Rd.) in Eastpointe. The theatre is the home of the patented TeeVeeStage™ Presentation system, which employs cameras above the audience and monitors above the stage to provide audience members with different viewing perspectives of the live stage performance. Broadway Onstage Live Theatre is also the home of Dennis Wickline Productions, Inc., which began producing Non-Equity professional live theatre on the Eastside of Detroit in February of 1980.

THE HOUND OF THE BAKERVILLES tells the compelling story of the Baskerville Curse. The curse began in the late 18th century when Sir Hugo Baskerville, the Lord of the Manor at Baskerville Hall, chased a young village girl to her death on the English Moors and died that same night at the hands of a gigantic, vicious hound. The story opens following the suspiciously similar death of Sir Charles Baskerville in 1925. Sir Charles' heir, Sir Henry Baskerville, has just arrived from Canada as Lady Jane Mortimer, a family friend, has summoned her old friend Dr. John Watson and Sherlock Holmes to investigate the strange death of Sir Charles. During the course of this intriguing story we meet several neighbors to Baskerville Hall, Beryl and Jack Stapleton, a brother and sister who are former missionaries, and Laura Lyons, a woman with a distinctly unusual past. We are also introduced to Mrs. Barrymore, the housekeeper of Baskerville Hall and a woman with a dark secret. Will the hound claim another victim? It is up to Sherlock Holmes to prevent it and unravel the curse once and for all.

The cast of THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES at Broadway Onstage is very well suited for their roles. Portraying Sherlock Holmes is Broadway Onstage favorite John McClure. Mr. McClure portrayed Sherlock Holmes several seasons ago in the production of SHERLOCK HOLMES IS COMING TO DINNER! at the Eastpointe Theatre and has appeared in a number of other productions there. Taking on the role of Watson is Broadway Onstage newcomer Daniel T. Muldoon. Also new to Broadway Onstage audiences are Mary C. Stelmark and Angie Lai as Lady Jane and Laura Lyons, respectively. Other Broadway Onstage regulars, Sharron Nelson and Elizabeth Rager, appear as Beryl Stapleton and Mrs. Barrymore.

Ms. Nelson and Ms. Rager were most recently seen this past summer at Broadway Onstage in FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS. Author and actor Ed Thomas takes on the role of Jack Stapleton. Mr. Thomas' THE SCOTTISH PLAY was performed at the Eastpointe Theatre several seasons ago. Charles Davis completes the cast as Sir Henry Baskerville, the target of the Baskerville Curse. Mr. Davis was also recently seen in Broadway Onstage's season opener, FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS. THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES at Broadway Onstage is under the direction of Jane Burkey, director of many productions at the theatre, including last season's DIAL "M" FOR MURDER.

Tickets for Opening Night, Friday, October 25 are $15. Tickets for all other performances are $18. Again, Broadway Onstage is located at 21517 Kelly Rd. at Toepfer (8 1/2 Mile Rd.) in Eastpointe, Michigan. Ticket Reservations are strongly recommended by calling (586) 771-6333.
