ART OF MURDER by Joe DiPietro, author of I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE! and OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS, is the fifth show of the season at Eastpointe's Broadway Onstage Live Theatre when it opens on Friday, January 9, 2009. Running Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Select Sundays at 2pm through Saturday, February 7, the intriguing mystery-comedy tells a clever whodunit it to who story that has everyone guessing until the very last moment has been played.

Select Sunday Matinees are only performed at Broadway Onstage when a prearranged group of 30 or more is scheduled to attend. Broadway Onstage Live Theatre is located at 21517 Kelly Rd. at Toepfer (8 ˝ Mile Rd.) in Eastpointe. It is the home of the patented TeeVeeStage™ Presentation system, which employs cameras above the audience and monitors above the stage to provide audience members with different viewing perspectives of the live stage performance. Broadway Onstage Live Theatre is also the home of Dennis Wickline Productions, Inc., which began producing Non-Equity professional live theatre on the Eastside of Detroit in February of 1980.

ART OF MURDER introduces us to Jack Brooks, a renowned, eccentric and ruggedly handsome artist. His younger wife, Annie, is also an artist and quite beautiful. We also meet Kate, their young Irish immigrant maid, and Vincent Cummings, Jack's high-powered and flamboyant art dealer. As the play opens, in their remote estate in the countryside of Connecticut, Jack awaits the arrival of Vincent. But the visit is not a standard one, for Jack feels wronged, and he is intending to kill the man. As Jack lays out his intentions for the evening, Annie calmly paints. She is reluctant to go along with the plan, until Jack's threat of violence convinces her otherwise. Harried and annoyed, Vincent arrives. Will Jack carry out his plan? Will Annie help him? Or is something else going on? ART OF MURDER is a comic-mystery that will have everyone guessing.
